Sweet for ArcGIS applications are based on web maps. Web maps define a set layers to be used as a backdrop (basemap), and a set of data layers to be shown on top.
Many applications support dynamically changing the basemap using a gallery or list. By default Sweet applications do not have this capability switched on. However it is possible to configure a basemap panel, where users can switch basemap.
Adding a basemap panel
To add a basemap panel, follow these steps:
- Click to add a New Panel on the wireframe.
- Choose Basemaps on the Add panel dialogue.
Configuring the choice of basemaps
There are two choices for where the list of basemaps will be retrieved.
Default
This will use the list of default basemaps configured in the portal.
Group
This will use the list of basemaps that have been shared with a specific portal group. When this option is selected, a portal group must be chosen.
The list of available basemaps will be filtered in the application. Only basemaps in the same spatial reference as the original basemap in the web map will be shown.
